4th Annual Teach's Lair Cobia Tournament
May 15 - July 5, 2008
Prizes
- 80% of cash goes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division.
- Largest fish overall also wins a custom cobia rod and reel!
- A cookout for tournament members will be held at Teach's Lair Marina on Sunday, July 14 at 1:00 PM.
- Prize monies will be mailed to winners who are not able to attend the cookout.
Entry Fees
- Kayaks - $40 per person
- Private Boat - $40 per person
- Charter Boat - $100 per boat
- Surf and Pier - $40 per person
Rules
- All fish must be caught after tournament registration
- All fish must be weighed in at Teachs Lair Marina from 5am to 9pm
- You can join more than one division
- Only 2 fish per day per angler can be weighed in
- All fish must be caught on hook and line
- No mutilated fish allowed
- This is an individual tournament. NO HELP in fishing (except for gaffing fish)
- Charter boat division ONLY, captains or mates are allowed to hook fish and hand rod to designated angler. Captains and mates ARE NOT ALLOWED to enter fish while chartering
- Kayak division. The fish must be hooked, fought and landed from the beach.
- Pier fishermen are allowed to have someone hold their rod so the angler can gaff or net fish
- Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone
- Upon weighing in a fish you will be given a weight receipt that you must sign. Once signed the receipt will stand AS IS (weight, date and time)
- In the event of a tie the 1st fish weighed in that category will be the winner
- Violation of any rules will constitute grounds for disqualification
